Why Choose Tuesday?
If you’re looking for leverage, the day called “Tuesday” is your sweet spot. Tuesday is the gateway to a multitude of advantages. As the old saying goes, “It’s all in the timing.”
Productivity fluctuates during the week, so it’s no surprise that Fridays rate as the least productive day for most people in the workforce. The end of the week translates into not only a less professional wardrobe, but also a more casual attitude. Mondays, on the other hand, have taken on a “gung ho” style, with meetings and more meetings filling up organizational agendas. It’s a day when most employees are tired by the end of their shift.
In an independent study conducted by Accountemps, nearly half of Executives who were surveyed said employees hit peak performance on Tuesdays. If you consciously consider social marketing trends, Tuesdays have become a day for promotions, discounts and consumer attractions. Rental videos were among the first products to be heavily promoted as a Tuesday special. If you’re on a budget, Tuesday is the day to treat the family to a discounted meal (all you can eat ribs!), or to a movie. In short, Tuesday is THE day.
Have you noticed that elections fall on Super Tuesdays? Important announcements are arranged for Tuesday media conferences?
So how can you take advantage of the Tuesday Leverage Point?
* If you have an important meeting, a decision to make, a position to negotiate, schedule it on a Tuesday.
* If you want to save money on an outing, check out the Tuesday specials.
* If you’d like to finish an important project, or catch up on the backlog, block off the whole day as your most productive and prolific day.
* If you need to energize your team with a new project, launch it on a Tuesday.
Think Tuesday, Think “Leverage” to get ahead.
